A new client recently asked…
Why should I work with a Calgary Mortgage Broker?
I can’t speak for all Mortgage Brokers in Calgary, but for us there are 3 main reasons to work with us:
Mortgage Focused: We specialize in arranging mortgages for clients. We don’t open bank accounts, or help clients with RRSP’s, mutual funds or TFSA accounts. We focus our energy on the mortgage industry, learning and keeping up to date on all the bank changes, rate offers and promotions. Therefore, we only focus on your mortgage needs.
Experience Means You Save Money: Because of our experience and over 15 years tenure in this business, we have strong lender relationships. What does that mean for you? We hear about promotions, and our clients get offered the best interest rates available in the market place. Therefore, our clients save. They save over the short term and over the long term.
You Save Time: Lenders want more clients and offer deals to us that we can pass on to our clients. You don’t have to shop around, apply with multiple banks to get the best deal. You meet with us and we can do all the shopping for you.
Do You Charge Fees to Clients?
No, more than 99% of the clients we work with do not pay us any fees. The banks, credit unions and trust companies that we work with pay us to introduce clients to them. On the rare occasion, we may have to deal with a lender that doesn’t pay us a professional fee to help you secure the financing that you need. In that case, if the lender doesn’t pay us to help you, then we would charge a fee, but we would let you know right away.
Mortgage Brokers used to charge fees, but today, fees are generally charged to clients who don’t qualify for financing with traditional lenders and need to deal with private lenders. If your credit is battered and bruised, then you may have to pay some fees and get a higher interest rate today.
If you have bad credit, we can often make suggestions to improve your credit so that you can qualify with a lender that doesn’t charge additional fees and will offer you an excellent interest rate.
